PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASCERTAIN WEBSITE ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS BEFORE CALLING FOR INFORMATION. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the solicitation will be available on the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) without further notice on or about Wednesday, August 2, 2006. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This project consists of repairs to and refinishing of the historic iron fence and gates bordering the National Park Service property at Springfield Armory National Historic Site, Springfield, MA. Work includes welded repair of existing fabric, replacement of missing cast iron parts (government-supplied), sandblasting, painting, and caulking of fence and gates to achieve a sound, intact structure and weatherproof coated surface upon the completion of work. Construction performance period is 120 calendar days. Estimated construction range: Between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS code 238990, $12 million. This solicitation is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor registration (www.ccr.gov) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
