Description

General: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. In accordance with FAR Part 19, Subpart 19.10, the Government will select the responsible offeror. THE AWARD WILL BE ISSUED PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the DOI National Business Center (NBC) website, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation will be available. NO PHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the NBC website. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will also need to be registered at the above listed site. This service is provided as a convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Offerors are responsible for visiting this website periodically. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the Central Contractors Register (CCR) on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. No other notifications will be issued. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF. The tentative proposed solicitation issue date is on or about August 7, 2006. Title of Project: Install Flexible, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipeline Description: This project consist of all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to install a new 6 inch, flexible, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline and 6 new fire hydrants located at Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, water consumption meters will be strategically placed as well as backflow prevention assemblies. The work will also include installing a fire sprinkler system at six park buildings. Type of Procurement: A Firm-Fixed contract is anticipated to be awarded. Estimated price range: $250,000.00 - $500,000.00 The NAICS code is 237110. The size standard is $28.5 million.
