Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Eric Kolb of Scottsdale, AZ for nonpersonal services in support of photogeologic mapping and structural analysis of the polar layered terrain on Mars. This source is the only known source with the special expertise in photogeologic analysis of Mars datasets and expertise in processing these datasets with customized USGS planetary imaging systems software and other relevant software. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the Contracting Officer (rdonez@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in this announcement.
