Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under NAVAIR Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N000421-05-G-0001 with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), 600 Grumman Road West, Bethpage NY 11714, for engineering and technical services for continued development of a FORCEnet Capability at Makaha Ridge, Kauai. The FORCEnet Capability was implemented as a laboratory, by NGSC under a previous NAVAIR contract, containing a simulated E-2C platform and a small Cyber Warfare Information Network (CWIN) theater. The objective of this effort is to develop and demonstrate emerging technologies important to the Fleet and the E-2C community to include enhancing the E-2C?s capability as a Battle Management Command and Control platform, and as a communications hub and information server to high, medium, and low bandwidth users. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this order on a sole source basis with NGSC. NGSC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the E-2 (E-2C/E-2D) Aircraft and Weapon system and as such is the only firm with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to fulfill these requirements. This phase of the effort will focus primarily on the continued development of E-2 Open Architecture software, the integration and networking of additional sensors with the existing FORCEnet facility, and supporting demonstration activities.
