Description
The Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) is requesting information for a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Universal Dual Beam Tactical Aiming Laser with white light and IR Illumination for the Unexploded Ordnance (RE 70 M3) Standoff Disrupter and the Percussion Actuated Non-Electric (PAN) Standoff Disrupter. Descriptive literature should include data sheets, product quality, reliability, and pricing information. Inert product samples, though not required, may be submitted at no cost. Desired system parameters: 1) Tactical laser system that projects a beam from both sides of the barrel. 2) Additional White Light with Infrared Filter. 3) Rugged (able to withstand EOD tool set recoil 5000ft/lbs). 3) Ability to adjust lasers in 2 perpendicular directions. 4) Interoperable/compatible with both Standoff Disrupters. 5) Must mount to Picatinny Rail System. Environmental Parameters Desired: Storage Temperature range: -60 degrees F (-51 degrees C)! to 160 degrees F (71 degrees C), Operational Temperature -25 degrees F (-31 degrees C) to 120 degrees F (49 degrees C), and Relative Humidity of 95%. The laser system should have a maximum power of less than 5mW (Laser Classification class IIIa), and be powered by military approved COTS batteries. The data collected from this market research effort will be utilized to understand the commercially available item's ability to meet projected needs. Desired system parameters do not necessarily represent the minimum acceptable capabilities. This announcement serves to survey product availability and is not to be construed as a request for proposals. The Government will not reimburse respondents for the cost of submitting information in response to the Sources Sought announcement. This announcement does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, to procure equipment or services.
