- The government intends to award on a sole source basis to Austin Precision Products, Inc., DBA LaRue Tactical, 850 County Road 177, Leander, TX 78641-2534 for the procurement and delivery of a total of 135 steel automatic reset sniper targets for MCB Camp Pendleton, CA and MCB Quantico, VA. Camp Pendleton is to receive 100 model TG1 standard targets and 10 model TG.50 .50 caliber targets. MCB Quantico is to receive 25 model TG1 standard targets. These targets, commonly known as ?LaRue Targets,? are unique in the industry and were designed specifically for use in long range rifle shooting. These targets are made with Brinell AR 500 hardness steel and give immediate feedback in two different means; first, by sound of the bullet hitting steel and second, by falling to the ground. The targets automatically reset themselves in a matter of seconds by means of a battery-powered electric motor. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary services, supplies, FOB destination delivery to the bases at MCB Camp Pendleton, CA and MCB Quantico VA. Installation is not required. This award will be approximately $193,000 with the anticipated delivery date of 30 days after contract award. The Marine Corps reserves the option to purchase additional targets and supplies from Austin Precision Products, Inc. for sites aboard other Marine Corps Installations. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days after publication of this notice, the US Government intends to award a sole source contract to Austin Precision Products, Inc.
