Description
The government intends to award on a sole source to Advance Training Systems, 4524 Highway 61, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55110 for the design, procurement and delivery of 10 ATS RBT-36 custom designed re-configurable bullet stops for Range 130, MCB Camp Pendleton, CA. The ATS RBT-36 bullet stop was designed specifically for this facility and will maximize the training value of the recently emplaced Urban Sniper Trainer. Its unique design features allow the bullet stops to be quickly moved to offer multiple shooting scenarios and the adjustable height feature allows for instant configuration for high angle shot types, a must for current urban sniper training. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary services, supplies, FOB destination delivery to the range and travel required to perform, at MCB Camp Pendleton, CA Range 130 Facility, the delivery of 10 Re-configurable Bullet stops. The prototype of the ATS RBT-36 Bullet Stop was designed and built to suit the needs of the Urban Sniper Trainer on Range 130. It was approved by SOTG, the users of the Urban Sniper Trainer. The bullet stop is made of ballistic rubber and Brinell AR 500 ?? steel. It is configured with a Ratchet and pulley that will allow ease of adjustment. The bullet stop assembly will be placed on a rolling stand that allows mobility and ease of movement. The bullet stop assembly will be 36? high x 36? wide. The ATS RBT-36 bullet stop comes assembled and does not require any installation. This award will be approximately $25,000 with the anticipated delivery date of 30 days after contract award. The Marine Corps reserve the option to purchase additional bullet stops and supplies from Advanced Training Systems (ATS) for sites aboard other Marine Corps Installations. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days after publication of this notice, the US Government intends to award a sole source contract to Advanced Training System.
