- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Mid-Continent Ecology Division, located at 6201 Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, Minnesota, requires installation of fire sprinkler protection to a Research Storage Building. The Contractor shall install new fire main service with connection to watermain, post indicating valves, fire hydrants and all required piping, valves, etc. The Contractor shall install new sprinkler piping and heads within the research storage building and modify existing fire alarm system to accept new fire protection system. The Contractor shall also provide all excavating and repair of blacktop, concrete and landscaping. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Contract award will be made using best value methodology. Two evaluation factors will be used: Past Performance and Price. The evaluation factors will be approximately equal in importance. The anticipated contract performance period is nine (9) months after receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated price of the work is under $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to be eligible for contract award. See the website www.ccr.gov for information about registration. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, and site visit information, will be released through the internet at the Fedbizopps website www.fedbizopps.gov. The anticipated solicitation release date is approximately 15 calendar days after the electronic posting date of this notice. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided.
