- Description
- Solicitation is for an integrated resource service contract that will include timber harvest and also include thinning of over-stocked conifer/hardwood stands by mechanical thinning; slash treatment; construction of Fuel Management Zone (FMZ) and fuelbreak construction. Project is located on the South Fork Management Unit, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Trinity County, California. Specifically, it is located approximately 15 miles southwest of Hayfork, CA on State Highway 36; Township 30 North, Range 12 West, Sections 19 – 23 and 26 – 35; Township 29 North, Range 12 West, Sections 3 – 6, Mount Diablo Meridian and Township 1 North, Range 8 East, Sections 27, 28, 33 and 34 and Township 1 South, Range 8 East and Sections 3 and 4, Humboldt Meridian. Treatments will include falling and removal of live, dead and dying trees on tractor ground; marking of timber designation by prescription; mastication; machine piling, covering piles and constructing fireline around each pile or unit boundary; and fuelbreak construction. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies during a period of performance through December 31, 2010. A preproposal conference will be held, date and time to be announced in solicitation. Project may be awarded as an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. Solicitation documents will be available approximately August 2, 2006 for downloading from this website, any amendments to the solicitation will be posted on this site also. Size standard is $6.5M average annual receipts.
