Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of an advanced occupational education program for the Federal Correctional Institution, Beckley, West Virginia, located at 1600 Industrial Park Road, Beaver, West Virginia 25813. The contractor is to provide an Advanced Occupational Education Program leading to a one-year certificate and/or Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or other related fields. The focus of the program is to provide inmates with a marketable skill. The contractor will provide a program coordinator, instructors, specialized equipment or other materials; and also maintain records which are accessible to the Government. The contractor will provide advanced occupational education classes to approximately 20 inmate students per class during the Spring/Summer/Fall semesters. The contractor must provide instructors with at least a Master’s degree or experience teaching at the college level, and practical experience in the field. The contractor must be listed in the directory entitled “Accredited Institutions of Post-Secondary Education” and/or be designated as eligible by the United States Department of Education to receive tuition assistance funds. The contractor must be accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools or a comparable association. The solicitation will be made available on or about August 2, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is September 2, 2006. Anticipated date of award is October 1, 2006, with performance anticipated to begin January 1, 2007. This will be a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
