Description
The National Institutes of Health, National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)is conducting a market survey to help determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and/or HUBZone small businesses capable of serving the needs mentioned below. The NIDDK will be seeking an organization or an institution to continue updating the Urologic Diseases in America (UDA) compendium. The UDA delineates the changes in the epidemiology, health economic impact, and practice patterns for each of the diseases currently included within the scope of practice of the speciality of urology. The contractor will be responsible for publishing two updated versions of the UDA during the contract period, and will also develop mechanisms that enhance data dissemination and analysis. These mechanisms will include at least two information data dissemination workshops as well as solicitations for, evaluation of, and support of, new and novel data analyses and reports. The contractor shall be able to assess previous UDA accomplishments and unmet needs; identify data bases availible for data acquisition; assessment of available data bases for adequacy to complete the project; and data collection and interpretation for all urologic diseases which fall within the scope of practice and urologist, including: pediatric urology, urological oncology, infertility and male reproduction, urolithiasis, urinary tract infections, bladder dysfuntions, and sexual dysfunction. The contractor shall also be able to specify the areas for which there is not adequate or reliable data for evaluation. The contractor will be required to access databases of the federal, state and local governments, health care provider organizations, and industry. Data collected shall include that from the most current data files available. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Interested firms responding to the Sources Sought Notice for NIH-NIDDK-06-07 should adhere to the following in their official response: (a) Identify the firm's size and type of business. (b) Provide a capability statement demonstrating relevant experience, skills and ability to fulfill the Government's requirements. The capability statement should contain enough sufficient detail for the Government to make an informed decison regarding the Contractor's capabilities; however, the statement should not exceed 10 pages. (c) The capability statement should include references, key personnel, and any teaming arrangements needed to fulfill the requirement. (d) The capability statement should be submitted by formal letter, not email or fax, to Diane Meeks, Contracting Officer, NIH, NIDDK, 2 Democracy Plaza, 6707 Democracy Blvd., MSC 5455,Bethesda, MD 20892-5455.
