- Description
- The Southeast Regional Fisheries Training Center is soliciting for a 60' X 20' constuction of a structure to be used as a training mock-up of a fishing vessel. The contractor who is selected for this work will be required to do the following: 1. Install 6 X 6 pressure treated timbers, set in concrete, to support the structure. 2. Structure will be approximately twenty feet wide and sixty feet long. There will be approximately six feet of "freeboard" and the deck will be approximately 42" above grade. 3. The "pilothouse and main salon" will be framed with #2 SYP and will be fastened with all galvaized fasteners. There will be a framed passage between the "pilothouse and main salon". 4. Exterior sections of the vessel will be constructed from pressure treated plywood, 3/4" for decks and 1/2" for walls and hull, and fastened with all galvanized fasteners. 5. Four single hung windows, 3'0" X 4'0", will be installed in the "pilothouse and main salon". 6. Two 3'0" X 6'8" entry doors, will be installed in the "pilothouse and main salon". 7. Interior height of "pilothouse and main salon" will be approximately 8 feet. 8. Fish hold area's to be approximately 3'8" X 7'8". The hatches to fish hold area to be approximately 4' X 8'. 9. There will be 4' wide removable panels on each end. 10. Contractor will not be responsible for any caulking, sealing or painting. This will be done by SRFTC. 11. Contractor will remove construction generated trash and debris from the worksite upon completion of work. 12. Install awning/overhang 75'X 35' platform.
