Description
The Department of Justice is developing an acquisition strategy for its requirement for a Children?s Waiting Room at the United States Attorney?s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia. As part of this process, we are seeking information about small businesses that are capable of providing the services. Please note that this is a market survey for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). There is no solicitation document available; no contract will be awarded based on this announcement; no reimbursement will be made for costs associated with responding to this announcement; and no telephone calls about this announcement will be accepted or acknowledged. All responses must be submitted via e-mail in accordance with the instructions that follow. The USAO has a requirement for a qualified contractor or similar professional organization to operate a children?s waiting room, also known as drop-in daycare services. The DOJ provided facility is located within a federal building in Washington, DC. All applicable DC licensing standards will apply, even if considered voluntary. The requirement includes the provision of qualified staff and support systems to supervise, monitor, provide reading/entertainment materials, and otherwise be responsible for the children of victims and witnesses (or other accompanying adults having business to conduct at the USAO for DC). The children may be in the waiting room for several minutes to several hours, depending on the business to be conducted by the accompanying adult. The applicable NAICS code is 624410 with a size standard of $6.5M. Responses to this announcement must provide detailed, concise information about the company?s qualifications and experience in providing the required services, within the past three (3) years in the Washington DC metropolitan area. All responses shall include a list of up to five (5) projects. Project information shall include the contract number, dollar value, period of performance, current status, and current point of contact information such as name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. In addition, the response must: 1) state small business size status (small, 8(a), small disadvantaged, HUBZone, service disabled, veteran owned, etc); 2) not exceed ten (10) pages. All responses must be submitted electronically to connie.h.simmons@usdoj.gov and be received no later than August 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. local time (Washington, DC).
