Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to solicit and award a contract for the replacement of the old Runway Visual Range (RVR) System with Three (3) New Generation Runway Visual Range (RVR) Systems for runway 14/32, Shreveport Regional Airport, Shreveport, Louisiana. The estimated performance time is seventy (70) calendar days for installation and nine (9) days calendar days for removal of the three (3) old RVR systems. Removal of the old systems will not occur until after the new systems have been tested and commissioned. This period of time is a minimum of thirty (30) days before removal can occur. The estimated price range for this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. NAICS Code is 237990. Interested firms must fill out and submit the attached Screening Information Request (SIR) Application along with pertinent information and mail to Karen Czerwiec, FAA, AGL-51, 2300 East Devon Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois 60018 by August 4, 2006. Upon completion of evaluation process, only those firms determined to be qualified will be sent a Request for Offer (RFO). We strongly encourage small businesses; service disabled businesses and small disadvantaged businesses to submit the SIR for consideration of this project. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
