- Description
- The Contractor shall conduct a series of research tests on different makes/ models of onboard hydrogen fuel cylinders and fuel delivery systems. Tests include burst, pressure cycling, bonfire, flame impingement, drop and permeation tests, to assess fuel system integrity and effectiveness of safety countermeasures. The Contractor shall provide Hydrogen Vehicle Fuel System Integrity Research Testing for NHTSA. This is a full and open competition under NAICS code 541710. The size standard is $6 million. The period of performance is for a base contract period of eighteen (18) months and two (2) one-year options. The Government contemplates awarding one (1) Firm-Fixed Price contract. The RFP and any other associated documents will reside on the FedBizOpps website at www.FedBizOpps.Gov or the GSA Electronic Posting Service (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. It is the Offeror?s responsibility to monitor the Internet sites for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential Offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Requests for paper copies of the RFP will not be accepted. Estimated date of release of the solicitation is on or about July 21, 2006 and will close on or about September 20, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. (Eastern Daylight Time).
