Description

VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Castlepoint, NY is seeking sources to perform the following: Replace Water Main Intake at the Castle Point VA Medical Center Campus involves specialty construction and continuous operation of the water supply from either the well field or the river. Sub aqueous construction utilizing barge or floating work platform to install approximately 1200 lineal feet HDPE pipe main in the Hudson River with tidal changes and navigational traffic. The jacking of a 42 inch steel pipe casing sleeve at approximately 10 foot depth through portions of rip rap fill for approximately 160 lineal feet beneath Metro-North Railroad high speed commuter train rails. New pre-engineered steel framed 2200 square foot building with the install and relocation of storage tanks, numerous pump and control systems, power transformer and stand-by power generator. The demolition of former water and boiler plant two story building built in the 1920's complete with the asbestos abatement of the existing roofing system and removal lead-based painted components and existing building power, heating and plumbing utilities and abandoned water plant components not to be relocated. Site work improvements including asphalt paving, grading and other necessary work.
