- Description
- The United States District Court, Southern District of Florida is seeking proposals from vendors interested in providing consulting (inspections and observations)services to assist the Court in determining technical compliance with audio visual/ sound systems design. New courtroom sound and visual systems were designed by an A/V sound systems design consultant. The installation, installed by others consist of fourteen (14) A/V sound systems in courtrooms and additional ancillary sound systems in executive offices and the Jury Assembly Room. The contractor shall review and understand all design documentation as developed by the design consultant. Contractor shall review all modifications to the original design, observe and inspect to verify installation is in compliance with design on a weekly basis. Contractor shall attend any testing/training of systems to include wiring and operation until final acceptance is achieved. Contractor shall provide assistance to the court during punch out phase and final acceptance. Prior to final acceptance contractor shall exercise at least 50% of systems and report any failures or potential equipment operational problems, spot check other systems as deemed necessary. To be selected for award contractor shall demonstrate knowledge, skill and abilities relative to this requirement. Contractor shall have worked on or maintained similar courtroom systems and equipment for at least five(5) years, (prefer at least two(2) years on systems in the Southern District of Florida. Demonstrate knowledge of software protocols used to control A/V and sound system operations, be computer literate and posses the ability to write clear concise reports. Be able to function physically within a construction environment of a mid high-rise facility. Contractor shall have all the necessary equipment necessary to perform diagnostics and properly test the complete system. The period of performance is anticipated to be 20 weeks from the receipt of a Notice to Proceed Letter. The contract will include language for an option to extend the term of the contract. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract. Contractor’s employees must pass Homeland Security Clearance prior to the start of an work.
