Description: Synopsis W15P7T-06-R-C040 The United States Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC), Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703, intends to procure hardware for the Communications and Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CE-LCMC), Logistics and Readiness Center (LRC), Command and Command and Control Systems/Avionics (CCS/Avionics) Directorate for the acquisition of the ID-2277A/A Vertical Situation Indicator (VSI) and ID-2278B/A Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI). The anticipated effort is intended to be sole source to Astronautics Corporation of America (ACA), 4115 N Teutonia Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53209-6731. The VSI and HSI are part of the pilots Command Instrument Set (CIS) that is used to display navigation information. The VSI provides the pilot with the ability to monitor the pitch, roll, attitude, turn rate, and slip/skid of the helicopter while the HSI provides the pilot with critical directional and positional information. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334511 with the corresponding small bus iness size standard of 750 employees. The proposed action is to increase the ordering ceiling of the current contract, W15P7T-05-D-C027, from 1000 to 2720 units. Items shall be shipped FOB Destination to New Cumberland Army Depot, New Cumberland, PA 17070 -5001. The solicitation number assigned to this effort is W15P7T-06-R-C040 and will be issued on or about 21 August 2006. The estimated award date of this procurement is 31 October 2006.
