Description

NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g., corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e., licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type o f construction work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective Offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the perf ormance of the resulting contract. In addition, prior to award of the contracts, Offerors must be registered with the Government of Japan to do construction work in Japan and possess necessary construction licenses and permits to perform work required unde r this solicitation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: In order to prevent a potential risk of water contamination and to comply with Japan Environmental Standards (JEGS) continuous water monitoring devices (approved by Japan Water Works Associations) for pH, turbidity and pressure need to be installed in the portable water systems at the following locations: Camp Zama, Yokohama North Dock, Akasaka Press Center, and Sagami General Depot. The estimated cost of the contract is between 10,000,000 Japanese Yen and 25,000,00 0 Japanese Yen. The solicitation will be issued on or about 07 August 2006. SOLICITATION ACCESS: Information regarding plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) web page at https://www.fedteds.gov. Registr ation in CCR (http://www.ccr.gov) is required before registering in FedTeDS to gain access to the solicitation. This solicitation will be posted electronically. Paper copies are no longer available. Offerors should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on this website.
