- 28- HOUSING,GEARBOX,TUR This synopsis amendment is issue to add information previously omitted. This requirement was previously synopsized under SOLICITATION NO FA8104-06-R-0472. Item: 0001 NSN: 2840014408030PR HOUSING,GEARBOX,TUR P/N: 9340M43G04, Description: A CAST AND MACHINED METAL PLATE. FUNCTION IS TO ATTACH TO A SET OF OTHER CASTINGS TO FORM A BOX CONTAINING A SET OF MESHED GEARS, HOLD THEM IN ALIGNMENT, AND SERVE AS A MOUNT FOR OTHER ACCESSORIES. DIMENSIONS ARE 14.845 INCHES LONG BY 8 INCHES WIDE AND 4 INCHES THICK. MATERIAL: CONSISTS OF AN ALLOY OF MAGNESIUM AND SILVER. Applicable to: F-110. Ranges will be solicited and the BEQ is 39 ea. Approximate ranges will be 19 ea to 28 ea, 29 ea to 38 ea, and 39 ea to 49 ea. Desired Delivery: 30 Mar 2007, Required Delivery: 30 Sep 2007. Qualification Requirements exist. First Article Government Test may be required. First Article will be required for all contractors who have not been under contract with the requested item within the past 36 months. Approved sources are Triumph Gear Systems, General Electric, and Ambel Precision. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. The approximate issue date will be 4 Aug 06. The approximate closing date will be 5 Sep 2006. The anticipated award date will be 60 days after the issuance of this notice.
