Description

This synopsis is issued to notify vendors of the Department of State's, Diplomatic Telecommunications Service Project Office, intent to award a contract/task order to Digital Lightwave located in Clearwater, Florida. The proposed requirement is to provide maintenance and warranty support for Digital Lightwave Equipment. The requirements include Product Recertification, Extended Warranty and Software updates. Extended warranty requirements includes factory repair parts and labor, remote troubleshooting, factory hardware modifications,10-day turnaround and software maintenance release(s). Recertification includes adding all outstanding ECNs and the latest firmware and a one time calibration of each unit that is currently out of the three year warranty period. Software support includes providing the latest software updates during the term of the contract/task order. The Government anticipates the award of a contract/tastk order for a Base period and two one year options. A list of equipment is available upon request. This task order/contract is anticipated to be awarded on a sole source basis. The basis for this determination is that Digital Lightwave is the only firm that has the capability to perform the required services as sole developer and manufacturer of the equipment being support.
