- REQUIREMENT: The General Services Administration currently leases 61,911 rentable square feet of office space at 55 East Monroe in Chicago, Illinois. GSA intends to negotiate a five (5) years firm succeeding lease with this location. GSA, however, will consider other buildings provided they meet the criteria in this announcement and can prove overall cost effectiveness when considering relocation costs of furniture and telecommunications, tenant improvements and other factors. The rentable space must yield a minimum of 55,000 ANSI/BOMA Office Area square feet for use by government personnel, furnishings and equipment. Floor plates must have potential for efficient space layout. REQUIRED: All services, supplies, utilities and tenant alterations are to be provided as part of the rental consideration. The Government shall have access to the space 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The building must be near inexpensive and moderately priced fast food and/or eat-in restaurants that are within walking distance. Other employee services such as retail shops, cleaners, and banks shall be located within ? mile. The offered space must meet Government requirements for security, fire, life and seismic safety and handicapped accessibility. LOCATION: Offered properties must be located in Chicago bounded by: North: Randolph Street, South: Jackson Blvd, East: Michigan Ave., West: Dearborn Street. LEASE TERM: Five (5) years firm. EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: If you desire to submit a location for inspection, please forward information by 5:00 pm EDT, July 31, 2006. Expressions of interest should include building name and address, location of space in the building, rentable square feet offered and rentable rate per square foot (specifying services and utilities included), ANSI/BOMA defined usable square feet, and contact information for owner or authorized agent. Brokers or agents may represent the prospective landlord, but any properties or proposals submitted by brokers/agents must be accompanied by written evidence that they are authorized to represent the building's ownership.
