- U.S. GOVERNMENT IS COMPETING EXISTING LEASED LOCATION The United States Government is conducting a competition for 6,688 rentable square feet of alternative office and related space within the city limits of Mobile, AL for a succeeding lease action and will relocate if a consideration of the economics involved and other factors are supportive. The BOMA/ANSI Office Area Square Footage must yield a minimum of approximately 5,816 square feet of contiguous office and related space with two (2) covered parking spaces either within the location or adjacent to the location. Regularly scheduled public transportation, sufficient employee and visitor parking, and freeway access must be available within three (3) blocks. The cost of relocation including the replacement of furniture, telecommunications, tenant improvements, and above standard alterations as well as agency mission and other factors will be considered. The proposed lease would be for ten (10) years, five (5) years firm, and should be fully serviced. Space must be available for occupancy no later than October 16, 2007. Offers must be submitted by owner(s) or by authorized representatives of the owner(s) only. Space offered must be in a quality, modern, office building and must meet Government requirements for fire/life safety and handicapped accessibility. Building must conform to the seismic standards for new construction of the current edition of the International Conference of Building Officials? (ICBO) Uniform Building Code (UBC), the Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) National Building Code, or the Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI) Standard Building Code.
