Description

The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Legislative and Public Affairs (LPA), Riverdale, MD, has a requirement for hotel rooms in the Kansas City, MO, area October 30 through November 1, 2006. A fixed-price purchase order will result. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE JULY 31, 2006, by 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. November 1, 2006 in Kansas City, MO. A minimum of 100 rooms is guaranteed October 30 and 31, maximum of 130 sleeping rooms. November 1, a minimum of 30 rooms is guaranteed, maximum of 40 sleeping rooms. The hotel must be handicap accessible; full service, i.e., bell cap service, restaurant, gym, meeting space, catering. The hotel must be located within 10 miles of Country Club Plaza. The hotel must have available meeting space for the training/workshop, which will be procured by a partnering agency and not intended to be part of this solicitation. The hotel must have the capability of providing catering service, which will be procured by a partnering agency, and not intended to be part of this solicitation. Transportation: Please indicate on your quote if shuttle service is provided for transportation to and from the airport. If not shuttle service is available, please provide a separate quote for transportation costs. The USDA will provide a list of participants. Quotes shall be within the prevailing Government per diem rate. This synopsis/solicitation is for a maximum total of 300 sleeping room nights.
