Description

The purpose of the 84 Bridge Replacement is to replace the existing 62 foot long, single-lane, log stringer-bridge with an 80 foot long, single-lane steel bridge. Work will involve removal of existing log bridge located and installing the steel bridge at the same location. This bridge will be transported from its current location to the work site. The Contractor will be responsible for the transport of the steel bridge and the installation. This project is partially funded under Title II of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act, involving special projects on Federal lands approved through the Lewis County Resource Advisory Committee. Contract performance period for this project will begin in late summer or fall 2006, prior to the 2006-2007 winter season. The NAICS code for this Procurement is 237310, with a Small Business Size Standard of $31.0 Milion. This solicitation is issued as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The estimated issue date for the solicitation is August 8, 2006. Contract will be awarded to the offeror presenting the best value to the Forest Service based upon; price; benefit to the economy of Skamania County; experience; and past performance.
