- This modification is issued to: 1. Extend the offer due date from July 26, 2006 to August 04, 2006. 2. Provide answers to questions submitted for the statement of work: STATEMENT OF WORK QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS Q. Will said contractor require a COMMSEC Hand Receipt Holder certification to be able to sign for and have issued to COMMSEC keying material? Will said contractor be required to transport classified material and obtain courier orders? A. - Yes Q. How many Server based systems will require support? A. 5, with possible expansion to 7 Q. Will Government officials provide first level response for end user desktop systems and software? If not what application suites require support? A. The performing contractor is not responsible for direct end user training, desktop troubleshooting and/or integration of desktop systems beyond that which is supported by the agency IMO. Performing contractor may be asked to assist with certain high vi sibility situations. Q. How many Exchange Servers are in operation and how many customer mailboxes per server exist? A. 1 Exchange 5.5 server, with 50-100 active accounts. Expectations will be that the environment will scale to 2 servers and 150+ active accounts. Q. What type of Tactical communication systems will said contractor need to interoperate with and have knowledge of? Will documentation and configuration of these Tactical systems be provided by the Government PM A. The performing contractor will not be expected to have technical knowledge of tactical secure communication systems past that which is commonly found within the global SIPR community. A. - As required, yes. Q. Are Firewall/IDS appliances already in place? If so what vendors equipment is being used? If no equipment is currently in place what vendors equipment is being procured for installation? A. Access-lists within a Cisco IOS environment. IPS or IDS devices may be procured in the future, and the performing contractor will be ask as to their ability to support these new systems, if contractor support is requested. - Q. What specific COMMSEC devices? [i.e.: KG-175, KIV-7, and KIV-19.] A. Any currently supported encryption device within the CSLA procurement catalog. Q. Is there an ATM implementation? A. Not within the LAN. Q. Will Government PM provide the contracted levels of System Availability to the contractor? A. Yes Q. Will Government PM provide the contracted levels of System Performance to the contractor? A. - Yes Q. What is the current size of the entire SIPRNet system? Will Government PM provide documentation and/or drawings on said systems? [i.e.: Number of and types of Applications, Desktops/Laptops, Network Equipment, Servers, Security Appliances, COMMSEC, & Us ers.] A. - Yes Q. What type of training is expected? How often and using what presentation methods? A. - Periodically. Common office applications. Q. Does this include having to configure and troubleshoot tactical systems? A. - Rarely, and only that which is generally found in a common user SIPR environment Q. What type of network management systems are in use? [i.e.: HP OPENVIEW, CISCO WORKS, General Dynamics Encrypter Manager (GEM), and RADIUS Servers?] A. - HP Openview, GEM, although this requirement may change. Q. What is the current implementation and configuration of said file storage? If no file storage solution is in place what type of storage appliances are being procured for installation? [i.e.: DAS, NAS, SAN.] A.- Simple file server currently, with expectations of growth in to a fiber attached SAN Q. What is the current backup implementation? [i.e.: Tape w/off-site storage, Disk to Disk?] A. - Tape backup Q. What applications are used to monitor said audit trails? A. - Event logger with auditing software. Q. What utilities, software, or hardware will be used to perform these functions? A. - (You will have to ask Kendall for the brand of software) Q. Will government PM provide or have ready standby equipment? A. - If required by the government to perform a backup, hot swappable , or other similar restoritive function, yes. Q. Will said contractor be expected to provide input towards the development of these Standard Operating Procedures or produce these documents in their entirety? A.- Provide input. Q. No clear Information Assurance roles have been defined. Will Government officials be performing IA roles or will the contractor be asked to perform these roles? If so will they work under the direction of the IAM and augment their staff? [i.e.: Antiviru s Support, WSUS, & STAT.] A. - The performing contractor will work under the direction of the DOIM IA staff in performing routine IA task, such as scanning, or compliance detection. Q. Is this optional to the contractor to provide this support? What will the said contractor be asked to provide? A. - Human capital, and technical competency in addressing question 21 Q. Will this include government vehicles to perform the duties of this scope of work? A. - No. The contractor shall provide their own transportation while on duty, and on an on-call status. Q. Will this travel be limited to the boundaries of the installation? Will government vehicles be provided? A. - No Q. There is a conflict with contractor availability? 12 versus the 16 hours stated below? - Correct time is 12 hours, M F. Q. Will said contractor need to be available during said holidays? - Yes Q. Will this include being available on weekends or only during stated available hours above? - Weekends and holidays are addressed as on-call and will be required to support. Q. Conflict with above stated availability of 12 hours. - 12 hours, M-F Q. No website, database, or programming support has been identified in this statement of work. Will these functions be expected and in what capacity? A. Functional management of IIS within Windows 2000/2003 Q. No Information Assurance roles have been explicitly identified. Will these functions be expected and in what capacity? A. Subordinate to the IAM of the installation. Contractor provides Touch labor for IA directed tasks. Q. What does the government recognize as the amount of billable hours per calendar year? A. Base Yr. 209 and All other option years 250. Q. How will sick, training, and leave time be factored in with this contract for the support specialists? A. Government will not pay for any sick, training or leave time All other information remain unchanged.
