Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This is a modification to N00178-06-Q-1934. This modification answers questions from vendors. Question: If a solicitation will be issued, when do you plan to release it? Answer: At this time, the RFI is in the market research phase. Solicitation may or may not be issued once the market research is complete. Question: Would it be a set-aside procurement or full and open competition? Answer: This would depend on the responses we receive from industry balanced against the Government?s requirements. Question: What will/would the contract type and duration be? Answer: At this point in time, the desire is that the contract type would be FFP, but once again this, as well as delivery, is dependent upon market research and agency requirements. Question: Is there an incumbent for this opportunity? Answer: No Question: Do you have an applicable NAICs code for this? Answer: 334413 Question: What would be the place of performance? Place of performance is dependent upon industry response and agency need. Any questions concerning N00178-06-Q-1934 may be directed to XDS112 on (540) 653-7478 or via email at DLGR_NSWC_XDS11@navy.mil.
