Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a Purchase Order to Net-Q Networking Consulting for the purchase of APPN-EE maintenance software and support for the period of September 30, 2006 through September 29, 2007. This software and support is currently known to be available only through Net-Q Networking Consulting. This software is essential to the SSA network in order to monitor, administer and secure access to the mainframe applications from both inside outside the SSANET environment. Other organizations that believe they are capable of meeting the SSA?s requirements are invited to submit information establishing a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If the SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the information received. Verbal responses are NOT acceptable and will not be considered. Responses to this notice must be submitted by August 9, 2006. Responses may be sent via E-MAIL ONLY to the point of contact listed below. NO PHONE CALLS OR FAXES WILL BE ACCEPTED. No submissions may exceed 5MB.
