Description
Previously released. Additional information added at end. This is not an RFP. The United States Postal Service is seeking sources for a robust, best-in-class COTS supplier catalog hosting solution (Catalog Aggregator). USPS currently hosts supplier catalogs within its firewall. As part of an effort to reduce maintenance and enhancement costs, USPS is considering migrating from an internal-hosted eCatalog solution to a third party Catalog Aggregator solution. At a minimum, the source and solution must have the following capabilities: 1. Host various supplier catalogs under contract and provide access to open market products and services (e.g., using sniffer technology for pre-qualified supplier participants under USPS B2B agreements). 2. Allow side-by-side comparison shopping (using a total cost approach). 3. Allow punch outs to commercially available catalogs. 4. Section 508 compliant (or an affirmative plan to achieve 508 compliance within a reasonable period). 5. Proven technology (Deployed for at least 1 year in a production environment among established client base). 6. Web ? Based thin client solution (no plug-ins, no cookies etc.). 7. Allow cost effective integration with legacy systems. 8. Detailed canned and ad-hoc reporting capabilities (including UNSPSC spend capture). 9. Strong record of performance with clients. 10. Financially capable with demonstrated continuous improvement record (technological adoption, enhancement releases etc.). 11. Scalable to accommodate large number of users and large volumes of data. Here are some key statistics of the current USPS catalog system: Number of Catalogs: 82 Number of Users: Approximately 87,000 Number of transactions: 1.6 million in FY 05 Number of line items: Approximately 859,000 Please respond by COB August 15th, 2006. Your responses should not exceed 4 pages.
