Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The USDA, Forest Service intends to award a sole-source contract, per FAR 6.302, with MMCI Automation Contract Systems of Redlands, CA for the hardware, software, and services that will provide remote monitoring and recording for a Micro Motion Flowmeter at the Chattanooga Air Tanker Base in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The meter is used to monitor the flow of fire retardant when loading airtankers. The system must be capable of monitoring the condition of the Micro Motion flow meter at the base. This must be accomplished through an internet connection with a contractor-supplied personal computer installed at the base. This is not a request for quotations and no solicitation is avaliable. Interested firms must submit a description of their capablities in sufficient detail to substantiate the ability of their firm to meet the requirements described above. A determination by the Government to not compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the government. If no affirmative written response to the effect that a comparable qualified source is available is received within 15 days after publication of this notice, a sole-source award will be negotiated with MMCI Automation Contract Systems.
