Description

A. This Request for Information (RFI) is amended to add the following statements. 1. The intent of this RFI is to identify the capability of small businesses to provide the services outlined. 2. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. 3. Questions will not be accepted after Monday, July 31, 2006, 12:00 pm. B. The following are responses to questions received: QUESTION: Am I correct in assuming that any entity qualifying as a small business under NAICS Code 541611 is eligible to bid regardless of whether it has any other designations such as those referenced in the paragraph of the Notice entitled Small Business Information? RESPONSE: YES. THIS RFI IS OPEN TO ALL SMALL BUSINESSES. QUESTION: The Notice implies that some of the work will be subcontracted out. Is there any minimum amount of the work that must be performed by the Small Business Prime Contractor RESPONSE: THE INTENT OF THIS RFI IS TO MAKE SUCH DETERMINATIONS FROM THE RESPONSES RECEIVED. QUESTION: What happens after submission of the requested capabilities statements? Will some or all of the respondents be asked to submit a cost proposal or will the Department negotiate with one or more qualified small businesses RESPONSE: THE SUBMITTED INFORMATION WILL BE REVIEWED BY THE CONTRACTING OFFICER AND A DETERMINATION WILL BE MADE AS TO HOW TO PROCEED WITH THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS. QUESTION: When do you anticipate making an award, particularly in light of Voucher Program eligibility ending on September 30, 2006 RESPONSE: THE CONTRACTING OFFICER ANTICIPATES MAKING AN AWARD BEFORE SEPTEMBER 30, 2006.
