Description
AIRPORT TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER (ATCT) FIRE PROTECTION/LIFE SAFETY UPGRADE AMARILLO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, AMARILLO, TEXAS The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified construction contractors interested in providing offers for the Fire Protection package at Amarillo, TX. Work will consist of, but is not limited to installation of new fire detection/alarm system; new fire-rated access doors, partitions, barriers, etc.; modification, replacement, resurfacing walls, partitions, and/or ceilings; application of sprayed-on fireproofing materials to protect steel structures; installation of new louvers, dampers and fire doors. Work will also include training for FAA personnel on new system (s). 1. Contract performance time is 90 days 2. Projected contract award date will be week of Oct 10, 2006 3. Work must begin no later than Jan 8, 2007 4. This procurement is total Small Business Set Aside 5. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $31 Million. 6. The dollar range for this project is between $100,000 and $350,000 7. A mandatory (pre-bid) site visit will be conducted on August 28, 2006, 9:00 AM (local time), in Amarillo, TX. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for contract award. Further information will be contained in solicitation package. 8. Contractor is expected to perform at least 15 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees. 9. Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SOLICITATION PACKAGE: a. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar amount and scope, on a Life Safety Critical Facility such as a hospital or a similar FAA facility. b. The contractor must have delivered a quality product in the timeframe established by the contract. The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The solicitation package is expected to be available the week of August 7, 2006. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than 4:00 pm (CDT) by August 7, 2006. Contractors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the two attached documents: 1.
