- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using simplified acquisition procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation shall be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00244-06-T-0787. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-11 and DFARS Change Notice 20060711. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 332999 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This is a sole source action with AAR Manufacturing Inc., Cadillac, MI. AAR is the OEM of the Satellite Communication Shelters and all items must be compatible with the existing system for form, fit, function, training, maintenance and repair parts. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Detachment Seal Beach has a request for the following supplies: CLIN 0001-1 Each, ESAMS 96? with modifications, P/N 58203TBD, CLIN 0002-1 Each, ESAMS 96? with modifications, P/N 58203TBD, CLIN 0003-2 Each, Mobility Wheel Set, high speed 24 VDC w/surge brakes w/o support beams or adapter Bars-Saginaw products 05-053684 Forest Green, P/N 60340009, CLIN 0004-2 Each, Mobility Wheel Set high speed 108? support beam Saginaw Products 05-052393, P/N 60190003, CLIN 0005-1 Lot, Freight Charges to Port Hueneme, CA. F.O.B. Origin. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Quoters must be registered in the CCR database to be considered for award. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/.
