Description
Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home AFTER 21 August 2006. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles (C&T) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. This information applies to solicitation SP0100-06-R0094. The applicable NSN?s for this procurement are 8305-00-181-0739 and 8305-01-049-1775. This acquisition is for the purchase of NSN 8305-00-181-0739, Cloth, Wool Elastique, 18.5 oz. USAF Academy Blue, Shade #500, moth-proofed 60? width. The purchase description for NSN 8305-00-181-0739 is MIL-C-3738 dated Mar 1987. Moth-proofed in accordance with MIL-C-43665C dated 14 Nov 1986 and the purchase quantity is 25,000 yards. This acquisition is also for the purchase of NSN 8305-01-049-1775, Cloth, Poly/Wool, Tropical, 10oz. USAF Academy Blue, Shade #540, moth-proofed, Type III, Class 3, 60? width. The purchase description for NSN 8305-01-049-1775 is MIL-C-21115K dated Dec 1987. Moth-proofed in accordance MIL-C-43665C dated 14 Nov 1986 and the purchase quantity is 75,000 yards. The destination for both NSN?s is PECKHAM VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIES, INC. 2822 N. MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD. LANSING, MI 48906-2923 The production leadtime is 330 days after date of award. If First Article is waived, then the production leadtime is 210 days after date of award. There will be 3 deliveries for each NSN. This solicitation will be issued Unrestricted that will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. This Best Value will use Source selection procedures utilizing the following evaluation factors in descending order of importance: Experience/Past Performance, Socioeconomic Consideration, DLA Mentoring Business Agreements (MBA) Program, and Javits-Wagner-O?Day Entity Proposal (JWOD). Acceleration of delivery will be permitted at the Government?s written request. Reference Numbered Notes 1, 9. and 26.
