Description

The USCG MLCP in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Drydock and Repair of USCGC HICKORY, a 225 ft buoy tender, homeport of Homer, AK. All work will be accomplished at a certified contractor's facility, during the period of 17 Jan through 27 Mar 2007. Work may include, but is not limited to the following; Clean and inspect chain locker, Superstructure plating renewal, Propulsion shaft rope guard inspect and repair, preserve voids, Controllable pitch propeller system maintenance, Hubs general maintenance, MDE jacket water plate type heat exchangers cleaning, Stern tube seawater supply modification, Pressure gauges calibration, Vent duct clean, Hydraulic chain inhaul winch level 2 inspect and repair, Hydraulic chainstoppers level 2 inspect and repair, Hydraulic crossdeck winches level 2 inspect and repair, Anchor windlass level 2 inspect and repair, Warping Capstan level 2 inspect and repair, Boat boom inspect and repair, Buoy and cargo crane inspect and repair, Superstructure preserve, Buoy decks preserve, Hull plating underwater body preserve, partial, Freeboard preservation, Drydocking and Temporary services. On or about 28 August 2006, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only certified small business firms with a certified drydock may submit a proposal. The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. In order to open and download the specifications offerors must be registered at www.FedTeds.gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through FedTeds.
