Description

This solicitation includes two projects: (CLIN 0001) Project No. G-06-500, Replace Oil-Filled Transformer, Bldg 1 at Akasaka Press Center, Tokyo, Japan. (CLIN 0002) Project No. G-06-501, Replace Oil-Filled Transformer, Bldg 8 at Akasaka Press Center, Tokyo Japan. The main features of these projects are (but not limited to) (1) removal of existing oil immersed transformers, (2) installation of dry type transformers and control panels, and (3) installation of ventilation systems. Performance Period: 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Performance Bond (100% of total contract price) is required. All offerors are encouraged to participate a site orientation scheduled for 9 Aug 06, 1300 hrs. Participants will meet at Main Gate, Akasaka Press Center, Minatoku, Tokyo, Japan. (Note: Advance notice of the participation to POC below is required.) The offeror is also required to submit Past Performance Information on the three(3) most relevant contracts to these projects by 24 Aug 06. NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(A)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION.
