THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY!The original synopsis was posted on 26 June 2006 for solicitation number FA7000-06-R-0055 then a modificaton was posted on 27 June 2006 correcting the solicitation number to FA7000-06-R-0103. To be able to post against the correct solicitation number a new synopsis had to be processed for the corrected solicitation number of FA7000-06-R-0103. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY!! Following was the original synopsis and modification text (this text applies to solicitation number FA7000-06-R-0103: This is a modification to the previous pre-solicitation notice for Solicitaiton FA7000-05-R-0055, changes as follows: a. FROM: Request for Proposal FA7000-06-R-0055, TO: Request for Proposal FA7000-05-R-0103: b. FROM: The total magnitude of this contract is between $150,000 and $7,500,000., TO: The magnitude is anticipated between $150,000 and $7,500,000 with a minimum guarantee of $150,000 to be issued as task order 0001. b. The following is an addition to the synopsis: Pursuant to AFFARS 5301.9102(a) one of the following shall be appointed as Ombudsman at the USAF Academy is Ms. Isabel L. Staples. The USAF Academy Ombudsmen contact information is as follows: 8110 Industrial Drive., Ste. 103, Telephone number (719) 333-3907 and Fax (719) 333-4747. COMPLETE SYNOPSIS WITH MODIFICATION CHANGES AS FOLLOWS: This is a synopsis for the acquisition of roofing maintenance, repair, and minor construction work to support the United States Air Force Academy to include Farish Memorial Recreation Area and Bulls Eye Auxilary Airfield. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for a broad range of roofing maintenance, roofing repair, and roofing minor construction work on various real property facilities at installations covered under this contract, including design and engineering services incidental to construction. The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base period and four one-year options, not to exceed five years. The magnitude is anticipated between $150,000 and $7,500,000 with a minimum guarantee of $150,000 to be issued as task order 0001. The solicitation information will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Request for Proposal FA7000-06-R-0103 estimated issue date is on or about 17 July 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder?s mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. This acquisition will be solicited as unrestricted. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160, Roofing Contractors and the small business size standard is $13 million. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on best value to include past performance.
