Description

The United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, Beltsville Agriculture Research Center (BARC) has a requirement for the alteration and repair of a hoop house. The magnitude of the project is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The period of performance is fifty (50) days from the Notice to Proceed. The NAICS Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $31.0 million. In accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (FAR Subpart 19.1007(a)(2), this procurement is being conducted pursuant to FAR 19.14, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Procurement Program. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Fid (IFB) using FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding procedures. A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the terms of the IFB and is most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price related factors. The solicitation will be released and available for downloading on or about August 24, 2006. The solicitation will be available to interested parties through electronic data exchange only at www.fedbizopps.gov. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation shall be made available through www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the Contractor?s responsibility to check the internet site for any posted changes to the solicitation. All responsible contractors may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the Government. Bids will be due on or before September 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. A public bid opening will be held. Anticipated award is September 29, 2006.
