- The Cryptologic Systems Group (CPSG) intends to award on a sole source requirements contract (basic year plus two option years) for the below items to Advanced Measurement Technology, 801 S Illinois, Oak Ridge, TN. The Ortec GEM Coaxial P-Type Gamma Ray Detector (part# GEM90P4-S) is a gamma ray detector with a minimum 75mm diameter crystal that is at least 90 mm long, and has a relative counting efficiency of at least 90%. The Gamma Ray Detector detects gamma radiation, and provides the information to the DSPEC for conversion to a digital signal. Listed below is a brief description: Weight apx 20lbs, 12? H x 3 3/4?D The X-Cooler (part# CFG-X-COOL-II-115-S) is a chiller unit that cools the GEM Gamma Ray detector to near liquid nitrogen temperature levels. Listed below is a brief description: Weight apx 190 lbs, 12? H x 10? W x 14?L. The DSPEC-PLUS is a multi-channel analyzer which takes the analog signals from the GEM90P4-S detector and converts the signal to digital. This digital signal is then sent to a computer for isotopic analysis. Listed below is a brief description: Weight apx 18 lbs, 6? H x 13? W x 12?L The ORTEC Heavy Duty shipping case is specifically manufactured for Ortec to transport the GEM90P4-S detector and CFG-X-COOL-II-115-S chiller from depot to world wide field locations. Weight apx 95lbs, 42.5? L x 30.75? W x 27? H The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only source IAW 10 USC 2304(c) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one (1) responsible source. The Government intends to make an award by the first of Sep 06. No technical data/drawings/technical orders are available. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify its interest and capability to the Contracting Officer by 18 Aug 06. See Note 22.
