Description

The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and repair services on hoisting equipment in the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) to ensure continuous and safe operation. All safety inspection, maintenance and repair services shall conform to standard commercial practices in maintaining hoisting equipment and in accordance with (IAW) BGV/D6, BGV/D8, BGV A1 (safety and accident prevention regulations); DIN 15 030 (German industrial standard), GPSG (Ger?te und Producktsicheheintsgesetz - devices and product safety law). Hoisting equipment may be electrical, hydraulic, or manual, and includes bridge cranes, overhead cranes, and hoists (with and without trolleys). The solicitation will result in a requirements contract with a base year and four one-year options. Base Year Period of Performance will be from 1 Oct 06-30 Sep 07. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290 -- Hoisting and placement of large-scale apparatus. This action is being advertised as UNRESTRICTED (open to all businesses). A formal Request For Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about 17 August 2006 via Fed Biz Opps. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award.
