DESC:1240-01-515-8265, Part Number 13005103, The item to procure is a MOUNT,TELESCOPE AND QUADRANT F/M171A1 ITEM CONSISTS OF NUMEROUS ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING: ROCKER ASSEMBLY; ARM ASSEMBLY;HOUSING ASSEMBLY; HOUSING ASSEMBLY; AND PLUNGER ASSEMBLY. MATER IALS REQUIRED FOR MANUFACTURE INCLUDE: ALUM.& COPPER CASTINGS; BRONZE; STAINLESS STEEL; TUBBER; AND PLASTIC. THE MOUNT CONTAINS WORM GEARS; BEARINGS; BUSHINGS; GASKETS; SPRINGS; AND BELLOWS. NUMBEROUS DRILLED/TAPPED HOLES AND EXTERNAL THREADING REQUIRED. FINISH 7.2.2 OF MIL-STD-171 & PAINT. Requirements are 30 in the 1st year; 35 in the 2nd ; 15 in the 3rd; 15 in the 4th; and 30 in the 5th, M171A1 Mount, Telescope & Quadrant. FOB is Destination. For use on the M198 Howitzer. Estimated issue date is 24 August 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
