Description

With this announcement, the Chicago District Corps of Engineers issues a Pre-solicitation Notice for its UNION STREET AREA STORM SEWER PROJECT. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all the necessary facilities, plants, labor, transportat ion, materials, and equipment for construction of approximately 3,500 lineal feet of storm sewer ranging in diameter from 12 inches to 48 inches including structures to facilitate combined sewer separation and provide for area and street storm water draina ge. Work includes field office, right-of-way clearing, maintenance of traffic, surface removal and replacement, excavation, bedding, backfill, temporary erosion control, water and sewer main, service line adjustments and extensions and site restoration. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System (NAICS) 237110  Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction this acquisition is UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) Package will be dow nloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Interested Bidders can download the IFB Package from the Internet Site https:// www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P6-06-B-0003. The solicitation will be available at the above-mentioned Internet site on or about 21 August 2006. The due date for bids will be on or about 21 September 2006 at 2:00 PM Chicago Local Time. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http //www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to award a FIRM-FIXED PRICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT.
