Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division, intends to procure on a sole source basis with the National Council for Advanced Manufacturing of Washington, DC for membership to the National Coalition for Advanced Manufacturing (NACFAM) under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) Only One Source Reasonable Available. NACFAM is a non-profit organization working to improve the productivity, quality and competititiveness of the U.S. domestic industrial base through building partnerships between industry and non-profit organizations. There is no other organization that provides the services of this kind that allows NIST to fulfill its research and outreach mission. Award will be made on or about August 18, 2006. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation is available.
