Description

***The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Steelcase, Inc. of Grand Rapids , Michigan, C/O Arbee Associates of Gaithersburg, MD, for the purchase of a markerboards and accessories that are only compatible with existing Steelcase walls .*** ***Sole Source is determined based on the following: The markerboards and accessories manufactured by Steelcase are 100 percent compatible with NIST?s existing Steelcase walls. Steelcase Inc., is the sole manufacturer and Arbee Associates is the local authorized dealer.*** ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 45 days after receipt of order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 337214, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 17, 2006.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
