Description
The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis based on the authority granted by FAR Part 6.302-1 to Hitachi Software Engineering America for the acquisition of a Luminex 200 Multi-Analyte System with Luminex 200 Detector and MaterPlex CT Software. The Luminex 200 Multi-Analyte System is capable of multiplexing up to 100 assays simultaneously in a single microtiter plate well. The equipment is specifically designed for multiplexing a wide range of bioassays such as immunoassays, enzyme functions, receptor-ligand interactions, genotyping and HLA typing. It has been engineered to meet and exceed the needs for invitro diagnostic requirements in clinical laboratories. Additionally, it is the most flexible analyzer for a wide range of applications and has been highly recommended by researchers working in FDA laboratories on contract from Georgetown University, NIH and other reputable scientific institutions. The researchers will be conducting replicative research projects and activities at FDA and have recommended purchase of the the Luminex analyzer which will allow them to work with CDRH scientists in the most efficient and effective manner with simultaneous measurement of up to 100 analytes in a single microtiter plate well using small sample volumes. This is the only equipment which will meet requirements of currently conducted research protocols and researchers transferring knowledge to CDRH scientists within a shortened time frame. An award will be made in fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. Sources may submit a quote, which fully demonstrate their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Alice.Pagan@fda.hhs.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
