Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Critical Infrastructure Protection Office intends to procure Retina Consulting Licenses to identify vulnerabilities and services found on a system. The product probes each system that is tested in an effort to identify exploitable vulnerabilities that may exist due to improper configuration or inherent flaws of the product. Information gathered with this tool, will be utilized to mitigate vulnerabilities and to document vulnerability testing in compliance with FISMA.. The product has the ability to scan the network with and without administrative privileges. Scanning without administrative rights to your machines provides you a view of the network as a hacker would view the network and gives you added insight to potential security threats. The product also has the ability to find rogue devices attached to the network in this manner.
