Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Y- THIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. DO NOT REGISTER FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AT THIS TIME. THERE ARE DRAFT PLANS AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW ON OUR WEBSITE (see instructions below). The Government may consider comments and inquiries while preparing the final plans and specs; however, the Government is not seeking comments and may not provide responses to inquiries. It is anticipated a solicitation will be issued later this year, but, no date has been established at this ti me. This posting is a 30% design submittal for review by permitting agencies only, public comment is not invited. The work to be included in this contract includes resurfacing, reconstruction and bridging of portions of US 41/SR 90 between Mile Post 13. 692 and Mile Post 24.650 to increase the elevation of the roadway to mitigate for increased water surface elevations as a result of the Modified Water Deliveries to Everglades National Park Project. Work anticipated under this contract will include 1.6 mi les of raising the road via resurfacing, 1.5 miles of reconstruction, 3.0 miles of bridges in two locations, 4.6 miles of road raising with a combination of resurfacing and reconstruction, and approximately 250,000 CY of excavation and disposal of embankme nt and roadbed material in the bridge limits. The 30% design will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS)website at https://www.fedteds.gov/. There is a VENDOR USER GUIDE available on the FedTeDS website.
