- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking potential sources for an Inclinometer Hole Drilling and Casing Installation requirement. The work will consist of approximately 200 linear feet of drilling, providing materials, and the installation of an inclinometer casing within the drill hole and the installation of a protective surface casing over the inclinometer. The purpose of the inclinometer casing will be to calibrate inclinometer probes and evaluate inclinometer systems that are used by the Government. The installation will be completed with steel protective surface casing with a locking cap. As the casing is being installed, the Government plans to install a vibrating-wire piezomenter attached to the inclinometer casing and an additional thermistor. These instruments will be placed at a depth of approximately 100 feet within the hole. Interested sources that can furnish the services required by Reclamation are encouraged to submit substantiation to Reclamation no later than August 14, 2006. Responses should include sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's general capability and specific capability to meet the requirements stated herein. All responses should include the firms DUNS and TIN numbers, and state whether the firm is registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases. This is a Sources Sought Notice only, and not a Request for Quotation /Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender. Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 541690 which is $6.5 million dollars. This notice is for market research purposes only, however, the information gathered from this notice will be used to determine which preference program will be used to process the acquisition [e.g., 8 (a) set-aside under the Small Business Administration's 8 (a) program, total small business set-aside , full and open competition]. No preference program determination will be made until the market research review is completed.
