Description

SOLICITATION: 301816Q315 PROJECT TITLE: Asbestos Removal PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Refuge Illinois River National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) Headquarters Bldg 19031 E. County Road 2110N Havana, IL 62644 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of: Temporarily removing and/or disconnecting all mechanical and electrical systems necessary to perform work; sealing off old portion of building for asbestos removal services; removal and disposal of PCB containing fluorescent light fixtures and ballasts; removal and disposal of asbestos containing ceiling cement board, acoustical tile and glue; taking air quality samples to verify removal of asbestos containing materials; replace ceiling with gypsum board, taping, finishing, painting, and provide texture; installation of new fluorescent light fixtures and ballasts in the old portion of building; reinstallation of all mechanical and electrical systems; and installation of insulation to the old portion of building. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is SET ASIDE 100% FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 562910, Remediation Services, $13 Million Dollars. The Solicitation (RFQ) package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on approximately August 24, 2006 with Quotes due on or about September 13, 2006. A Hard copy of the RFQ Package will not be mailed unless specifically requested. The Solicitation package includes: A scope of work, drawings, and a wage determination.
