Description
MOD 1:The purpose of this modification is to state that Chase, Clarke, Stewart & Fontana, 101 State Street, Springfield, MA 01102-9031 is the current contractor, 08/28/05 ? 08/27/06 providing the Department of State with $50,000,000 worth of coverage for All Risk insurance at a price of $71,500.00. All responsible and responsive small businesses shall read FEDBIZOPPS daily for updates. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the FAR as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement and the SF 1449 (UPLOADED) constitutes the solicitation. MUST SUBMIT proposal ON ALL-OR-NONE BASIS. LOWEST PRICE TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE. MUST MEET ALL SPECIFICATIONS. Period of Performance: 08/28/2006 - 08/27/2007 The Department of State (DOS) Office of Logistics Management, on behalf of the Office of Overseas Building Operations, Operations Management, and Division of Art in Embassies anticipates awarding a 12 month, All Risk (excluding War and Terrorism coverage) insurance contract. The contract shall insure $70,000,000 worth of art, properties or items displayed at (and in transit to and from) Department of State properties worldwide. The art, properties or items insured under this contract shall be insured at all times from the commencement date of the contract until expiration. This requirement shall be a small business set-aside. We use fine art brokers, especially Masterpiece International which is used exclusively by the National Gallery of Art.
